IN THE WORKS
Penelope
What started as a curiosity about a somewhat minor figure from The Odyssey turned into the tale of a woman who was sneaking out in search of answers about her husband’s fate, joining a mysterious priestess for a secret ceremony in the woods, journeying to a hidden cove where she has a mind-altering encounter with Poseidon, and barely surviving her trip to the Underworld, which convinces her her husband is dead.
When not braving the elements and her society’s censure if discovered, Penelope is navigating a home life of increasingly aggressive suitors, disloyal maids, and keeping her deepest secrets hidden even from her favored weaving friends.
